Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a well known commercial office furniture dealer who is seeking a Business Development Manager . This role is responsible for identifying and securing new sales opportunities in the contract furniture and facility services sector. This individual will proactively generate leads through existing networks, company-provided sources, and personal outreach. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored solutions. Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary $90,000 to $120,000 plus commission (negotiable).

Location: Hybrid. Anywhere in Puget Sound, WA. This position is in office only occasionally with the majority of time spent in the field and meeting with customers in Western Washington.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue commercial sales opportunities
  • Create and execute a strategic business development plan
  • Build strong relationships with key industry decision-makers
  • Promote customer satisfaction and revenue growth by delivering effective solutions
  • Collaborate with prospective clients to design and coordinate office layouts and facility services
  • Lead planning sessions with internal project teams to align on project scope and timelines

Training & Development:

  • Complete company-specific training within designated timeframes
  • Participate in regular sales training meetings
  • Engage in ongoing individual training and development sessions as needed


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 5–10 years of experience in B2B, outside sales with a proven track record of success
  • Experience in related fields such as office furniture, space planning, relocation, flooring, or facilities management is a plus

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong sales acumen including persuasive communication, presentation, and project coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve sales targets
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
