Compensation: $70,000 to 90,000 salary (negotiable) plus bonus
Location: Tacoma, WA. This positions is onsite 5 days a week with no opportunity for remote or work-from-home work.

Position Summary
This role involves interpreting architectural drawings to generate CNC code and detailed documentation for manufacturing and installation. Responsibilities may also include developing precise shop drawings for submission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings to determine the appropriate base product for modifications, ensuring the creation of custom products in CAD software.
- Assign suitable materials to products while considering thickness, board sizes, and grain/pattern orientation.
- Integrate machining details for all applicable hardware, such as hinges, pulls, drawer slides, grommets, access panels, and row holes.
- Produce well-organized nesting drawings for machine operators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot G-code and CNC machine error codes.
- Collaborate with production floor staff to address and resolve manufacturing concerns, supporting continuous process improvement.
- Interpret architectural and interior design drawings to create 2D construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Deliver complete and precise drawings for manufacturing operations while adhering to customer requirements and industry regulations.
- Develop construction documentation, including drawings, cut lists, and Bills of Materials (BOM), to support programming, machining, and assembly operations.
- Enhance existing product designs by modifying standard specifications.
- Generate approval drawings to confirm all necessary product details with the client before production.
- Provide daily progress reports via email, including hours worked and project status updates.
- Establish project timelines with supervisors and maintain adherence to schedules.
Experience and Education
- Background in AutoCAD and/or related CAD software is preferred. A Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience is desirable.
- Experience in millwork, woodworking, or related shop installations is beneficial.
- Familiarity with CNC programming is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of basic machine operations and ability to select appropriate tooling.
- Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Demonstrates integrity, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in work.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical documents, such as safety guidelines, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Adherence to safety protocols with a proactive awareness of workplace hazards.
