President + Mechanical Contracting Industry + Omaha
Our client is seeking an experienced and values-driven leader to serve as President of a well-established mechanical contracting firm. This individual will provide executive leadership across all operational and strategic functions, ensuring strong alignment, performance, and culture throughout the organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead an established executive team (L10) with a focus on alignment, accountability, and cohesion.
- Champion a culture rooted in integrity, collaboration, and high standards.
- Set the strategic direction of the business while ensuring effective execution at all levels.
- Drive operational excellence across service, construction, fabrication, and project management functions.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with general contractors, engineers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Oversee contract risk management—reviewing and negotiating complex agreements to protect company interests and ensure profitability.
- Stay ahead of legal, regulatory, and labor-related requirements in a union environment.
What You Bring:
- Extensive leadership experience in mechanical contracting or a closely related construction field.
- Deep understanding of the operational and strategic levers that drive performance in a specialty contracting business.
- A leadership presence that builds trust—respected, grounded, and forward-thinking.
- Ability to develop people, refine processes, and deliver results in a high-accountability culture.
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams through change, growth, or transformation.
Bonus Experience:
- Background working with union labor agreements.
- Active or past participation in MCAO, MCSA, or MCAA.
- Comfortable serving as a visible leader at industry events and client-facing presentations.
Ideal Fit:
- 10–20 years of industry experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Currently serving in a VP-level or equivalent role and ready for broader executive leadership.
- A long-term mindset with the energy and commitment to grow with the business.
