Civil Engineer + Project Manager + Sioux City, South Dakota 

Our client, an established Midwest-based infrastructure organization is seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager to support and lead complex civil and industrial projects in the North Sioux City region. This position is well suited for an engineer who prefers to stay close to construction, collaborate with field teams, and take ownership of projects from early design through final delivery.

Position Overview 

This role will be responsible for coordinating engineering, cost, schedule, and construction activities across a diverse portfolio of projects. Work includes heavy civil infrastructure, underground utilities, and industrial facilities, with opportunities to contribute at both the technical and leadership levels. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Plan, coordinate, and execute civil engineering projects through all phases of delivery 
• Apply sound engineering judgment to site development, utility, roadway, and infrastructure designs 
• Develop project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and production strategies 
• Prepare and review civil designs, calculations, and permitting documents 
• Oversee development of Civil 3D models for grading, utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, and roadway systems 
• Coordinate across engineering, construction, and subcontractor teams to ensure constructible solutions 
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians 

Candidate Profile 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline 
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, cost drivers, and field coordination 
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with Revit is beneficial 
• Effective communicator with the ability to lead discussions and resolve issues 
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams
