Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Cabinet Showroom Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate is proficient in 2020 Design software, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys guiding clients through the process of designing kitchens, baths, and other living spaces.
This position combines design expertise with consultative sales, requiring excellent communication skills, strong product knowledge, and the ability to create functional and beautiful designs that align with client goals and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
  - Welcome and engage showroom visitors with professionalism and warmth.
- Conduct design consultations to assess client needs, preferences, and budgets.
- Create detailed layouts, elevations, and renderings using 2020 Design software.
- Guide clients through cabinet and countertop selections, recommending styles, finishes, and materials.
- Prepare accurate proposals, pricing, and professional presentations.
- Collaborate with sales staff, project managers, contractors, and installers for smooth project delivery.
- Stay current with product offerings, design trends, and new materials.
- Assist with showroom merchandising, displays, and client events as needed.
Qualifications
  - Proficiency in 2020 Design software (or ability to learn quickly).
- Experience in kitchen and bath design, cabinetry sales, or related fields.
- Knowledge of cabinet construction, finishes, and countertop materials.
- Ability to read blueprints, take measurements, and calculate square footage (training provided if needed).
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as HubSpot and quoting tools.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and active listening skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; design degree or NKBA certification preferred.
Performance Expectations
  - Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
- Maintain a strong quote-to-order conversion rate through timely follow-up.
- Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction through service, referrals, and repeat business.
- Support marketing efforts by capturing project photos and client testimonials.
Work Environment
  - Full-time, showroom-based role with occasional site visits or networking events.
- Standard retail hours with flexibility for evenings or weekends during special events.
