Job Title: Supply Chain Director

Location: New York, NY 10010

Travel: 20%

Work Week: Monday through Friday – hybrid

Salaried: $120,000 to $140,000 + bonus

Position Overview:

This position is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, managing external vendor relationships, and leading a team of professionals. You will report directly to the Finance Leader and play a key role in driving operational excellence and strategic planning within our organization. The ideal candidate will bring experience in managing international supply chains, building strong vendor partnerships, and working cross-functionally with various teams, including stores and warehouses. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring efficient management from the warehouse perspective to support both local and international operations.
  • Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective product delivery. Build and manage vendor partnerships to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.
  • Demand Planning: Develop and implement demand planning strategies to ensure product availability aligns with forecasted sales and market trends.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance team performance and professional growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including store operations and warehouses, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage key supply chain projects, focusing on process improvements, cost reductions, and the implementation of new technologies or systems.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term supply chain strategy, incorporating market trends, customer demands, and operational efficiencies.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve supply chain processes and performance.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions to optimize supply chain operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management and demand planning, ideally within an international setting.
  • Strong vendor management experience with a focus on building long-term, effective partnerships.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams in various departments, including finance, stores, and warehouses.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment and a fast-paced industry.
  • Ability to manage a team and foster a high-performance culture.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with international supply chains and managing overseas product imports.
