THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Controller who is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and energized by building strong financial foundations in a growing, complex environment. This is a role for someone who goes beyond reporting a finance leader who thinks critically, anticipates challenges, and takes ownership of outcomes.


You’ll play a key role in overseeing core accounting operations, financial controls, and reporting processes that support a globally operating, technology‑driven business. From scaling financial infrastructure and improving processes to partnering closely with leadership on planning and decision‑making, you’ll have meaningful influence across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the day‑to‑day accounting function, including full‑cycle month‑end and year‑end close
  • Lead and continuously improve close processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Oversee all accounting activities through external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidated reporting
  • Manage consolidation and direct accounting for two legal entities
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including reconciliations, trial balances, and supporting schedules
  • Apply and oversee IFRS revenue recognition and other complex accounting areas
  • Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, including audit planning, coordination, and issue resolution
  • Oversee accounting controls, banking controls, and financial governance processes
  • Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with leadership
  • Oversee cash management, working capital, and support the Treasury function
  • Provide oversight of debt, equity, and equity‑based compensation/option issuances
  • Review and approve accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities
  • Support the management team with timely financial reporting, analysis, and actionable insights
  • Oversee, mentor, and develop two direct reports
  • Work within QuickBooks and support accounting system optimization and process improvements
  • Contribute to finance‑related projects and infrastructure as the organization scales


ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation (required)
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a background in public accounting
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS
  • Demonstrated ability to independently close the books and manage competing deadlines
  • Experience operating in a small or growing organization
  • Hands‑on, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and professional judgment
  • High level of integrity, credibility, and accountability
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt
  • Comfortable working closely with a small management team
