Estate Planning Attorney

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our Dallas-based practice. This is a full-time, onsite position focused on delivering high-quality estate planning solutions to individuals and families. The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, and confident managing matters independently while collaborating with a close-knit legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
- Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies
- Conduct client meetings to assess goals and recommend customized estate plans
- Coordinate with financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals as needed
- Manage estate plan updates due to life events or changes in tax law
- Ensure compliance with Texas estate planning laws and regulations
- Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the State of Texas
- 3+ years of experience in estate planning (additional experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Texas probate and estate planning law
- Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and strong drafting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals and complex estates
- Familiarity with estate tax planning strategies
- LLM in Taxation or Estate Planning (preferred, not required)
