Internal Medicine Physician – Residency Program Director – Chicago, IL

 

Description:

  • Seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician to join the faculty team for an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program in South side of Chicago
  • Provide clinical oversight for residents at an outpatient ambulatory clinic
  • Collaborate with the Program Director and faculty in resident education and program development
  • Opportunity to combine teaching responsibilities with a part-time faculty outpatient practice

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise up to four residents per clinic session in patient care delivery
  • Educate learners on pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and patient risk mitigation
  • Support residents in achieving ACGME core competencies and preparation for certifying exams
  • Participate in didactic education, journal clubs, case presentations, and curriculum development
  • Serve as a faculty mentor, evaluating and providing feedback to learners
  • Engage in scholarly activities and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to administrative and committee meetings including Clinical Competency Committee
  • Provide comprehensive primary care for a patient panel

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine
  • Experience in education and training of medical students, residents, or fellows
  • Demonstrated scholarly activity and curriculum development skills
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Commitment to resident mentorship and advancing internal medicine education

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range: $261,543 – $300,000
  • Income guarantee with bonus incentives
