Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner – Post Acute Care – Spokane, WA

Candidate Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing with specialization in palliative or hospice care
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Washington
  • DEA registration with prescriptive authority in Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in palliative care
  • Experience managing chronic pain and serious illness symptoms
  • Skilled in advanced care planning and end-of-life discussions
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and palliative care documentation

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Productivity-based compensation model (Fee-for-Service) with uncapped earning potential
  • Estimated annual compensation: $138,000–$164,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Manage medications to alleviate pain and other symptoms
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Coordinate with social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals
  • Facilitate end-of-life care discussions and advanced directives
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to update care plans
