
General Labor (HIT Operator) – On-the-Job Training
Indoor / Outdoor Work - Painesville, OH
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:15 PM
Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off (12-hour shifts)
$18 per hour
No experience required — paid on-the-job training provided.
Job Summary
The HIT Operator supports feed and food safety by assisting with distillation operations and general labor tasks. This role involves liquid and gas material transfer, operating industrial equipment, monitoring process controls, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
What You’ll Do
- Learn and operate distillation and still equipment
- Start up, operate, and shut down equipment safely
- Transfer and process liquid and gas materials per instructions
- Monitor pressure, temperature, flow, and levels
- Record process data for safety and traceability
- Collect and deliver labeled samples to the lab
- Clean tanks, condensers, vacuum systems, and equipment
- Identify and report spills, leaks, or equipment issues
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow PPE, safety procedures, and emergency protocols
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, indoors and outdoors
- Ability to climb, kneel, lift, and work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
