THE COMPANY
Our client is an established international technology company expanding its U.S. presence in the automotive industry. The company provides a conversational customer engagement solution that helps dealerships and dealer groups better manage inbound conversations, improve response times, and convert more online interest into real sales opportunities.
The business has already gained meaningful traction in the U.S. automotive market, including relationships with multiple dealership groups representing roughly 50 dealerships. The company is now investing heavily in its Austin-based U.S. team and is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative to help build the foundation of its American growth.
THE JOB
The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for generating qualified demo opportunities with automotive dealership groups across the United States. This is a phone-first outbound sales role focused on prospecting, cold calling, identifying the right contacts, creating interest, and scheduling demos for the sales team.
Core Responsibilities:
• Prospecting automotive dealership groups across the United States
• Making high-volume outbound calls to generate demo opportunities
• Identifying the right decision-makers within dealership groups
• Creating interest around the company’s customer engagement solution
• Scheduling qualified demos for the Account Executive
• Ensuring prospects understand the value of the solution and show up prepared for demos
• Maintaining clean prospecting activity and notes in the company’s sales systems
• Learning the automotive dealership market, buyer personas, and common pain points
• Testing and improving talk tracks, messaging, and outreach approaches
• Working closely with the U.S. sales leader to build pipeline and refine the SDR playbook
• Representing the company professionally with dealership owners, operators, and managers
THE QUALIFICATIONS
• 1–2+ years of sales, SDR, BDR, business development, appointment-setting, or outbound prospecting experience
• Strong comfort with cold calling and high-volume outbound activity
• Ability and willingness to make 80–100 outbound calls per day when needed
• Background in automotive SaaS, dealership technology, BDC, internet sales, automotive marketing, lead generation, CRM, chat, customer engagement, or related solutions is highly preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with dealership leaders and business decision-makers
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to think quickly in live conversations
• High level of personal accountability and follow-through
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to help build a sales process, not just inherit one
• Strong motivation to grow into an Account Executive or future leadership role
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment where performance is noticed quickly
• Coachable, resilient, and able to handle rejection professionally
• Local to Austin, TX, or already committed to being in the Austin area
THE BENEFITS
• Base salary $50,000-$55,000
• Strong commission opportunity tied to scheduled demos and completed demos
• OTE $75,000 if hitting targets, 85k-90k for above quota peformance
