COO Wealth & Tax + Culture & Growth Focus + Council Bluffs

If you’ve spent your career inside a wealth management firm and have found yourself thinking, “We could be doing this better,” this role was built for you. This newly created leadership position with our client sits at the intersection of wealth management, tax, fiduciary services, and operations. It’s an opportunity to step into a visible, high-impact role where you’ll help shape how clients are served, how teams work together, and how a growing advisory platform scales—without being buried in a massive personal book of business.

Why this role stands out

  • Own office in a professional, executive setting
  • Broad leadership scope across wealth, fiduciary, and tax functions
  • Strategic focus with hands-on leadership where needed
  • Ability to step in and support client relationships

What you’ll be leading

This role oversees two integrated advisory businesses focused on wealth advisory, fiduciary services, financial planning, and tax & bookkeeping. You’ll lead six direct reports, including senior leaders across planning, investments, fiduciary services, tax, and operations.

Your focus will be on:

  • Leading and developing experienced professional teams
  • Creating consistency in client experience, service models, and delivery
  • Driving operational strategy around pricing, practices, and service standards
  • Aligning wealth, fiduciary, and tax services into a cohesive client offering
  • Supporting select client relationships when coverage is needed
  • Partnering closely with senior leadership on growth and long-term strategy

This is not a sales-first role and not a heavy personal production role. Leadership, integration, and execution are the priorities.

What they’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within a wealth management environment
  • Strong understanding of advisory services with exposure to tax practices
  • Proven people leader who can balance strategy with execution
  • Comfortable guiding experienced professionals and setting direction

Nice to have, but not required: CPA, CFP, JD, or similar credentials.

If this sounds like the kind of role where your experience could finally be leveraged across the organization—not just within one lane—we’d love to start the conversation.
