Desired Experience:

  • Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in transactions, real estate, land use, construction, leasing, lending, corporate, and/or securities (or other highly regulated area).
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Experience with legal research, drafting documents, reviewing diligence reports, managing a closing checklist, and creating legal entities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document management software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.


Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, a thorough understanding of legal procedures and documentation, and demonstrate the desire and ability to quickly develop expertise in unfamiliar practice areas. This role involves supporting attorneys with research, drafting legal documents, managing transaction closings, and assisting with various administrative and legal tasks. The successful candidate will work effectively both independently and collaboratively, contributing to the success of the legal team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing and drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery, operating agreements, compliance policies, offering memorandums and correspondence.
  • Manage and organize closing files, including maintaining up-to-date records, and documents.
  • Coordinate communication with outside parties and internal stakeholders, as directed by attorneys.
  • File legal documents with courts and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with relevant deadlines and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain legal correspondence, including letters and memos to clients, and opposing counsel.and court personnel.
  • Review and summarize legal documents to identify key issues and pertinent facts.
  • Assist with due diligence processes, including managing the closing checklist, reviewing third party reports, and preparing memos summarizing report findings.
  • Support attorneys in preparing for meetings and closings.
  • Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned.
