We are currently in search of a Development Associate for a Middle School located in Brooklyn, NY. This is a Part-Time, Fully Remote, Temporary assignment.

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Middle School

LOCATION: Fully Remote

POSITION TITLE: Development Associate

SCHEDULE: Part-Time (20-24 hours/week)

DURATION: Temporary

HOURLY RATE: $22-24/hr. DOE

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Associate supports fundraising and engagement efforts by managing the advancement database (Raiser’s Edge/NXT), ensuring accurate gift entry, pledges, and acknowledgments, and providing administrative support. The Development Associate is a member of the advancement team and reports directly to the Director of Development. 

 

Our Ideal Candidate:


  • Minimum two years of direct Raiser’s Edge and gift processing experience (knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred)
  • Experience with data analysis, prospect identification, and donor acknowledgement
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with potential donors
  • Strong writing and editing abilities

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:


  • Donor cultivation and stewardship: Identifying and researching potential donors, building relationships with them through personalized communication, and maintaining ongoing engagement to encourage future donations
  • Fundraising campaign management: Assist in developing and executing fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, online giving, and events, by managing mailing lists, tracking RSVPs, updating event data, preparing name tags, and supporting volunteer and attendee materials
  • Donor database management: Maintain accurate donor records, track donation history, manage ratings and proposals in donor software, and process gifts and constituent updates
  • Donor communications: Preparing and sending donor updates, gift acknowledgements, thank-you letters, and personalized appeals to maintain donor engagement
  • Reporting and analysis: Track fundraising progress and giving patterns, generate campaign reports, identify areas for improvement, and support business office reconciliations and annual reporting
