 A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a Full-time Development and Operations Specialist to support fundraising, donor stewardship, and day-to-day organizational operations. This is an in-person, Full-time role based in New York.


ORGANIZATION: Religious Nonprofit

LOCATION: In person - 5 days, Upper West Side (possibility for one day remote)

POSITION TITLE: Development Operations Specialist

SCHEDULE: 35 hrs/week 

DURATION: Temporary- 3-4 months

Pay- $27/hr - $31/hr (depending on experience)

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting the nonprofit’s mission and community impact.


 Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, finance, or a related field preferred.
  •  A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development operations, with a focus on data analysis and finance.
  •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  •  Experience working collaboratively with finance and accounting departments, including understanding financial reports and budgeting processes. 
  • Fluency in fundraising databases and software (e.g., Daxco, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce), as well as Microsoft Excel and Google Docs 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Team player and collaborative personality


How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Coordinate closely with the finance department to ensure alignment of fundraising goals with budgeting and financial reporting
  •  Assist in the development of financial forecasting related to revenue from donations, grants, and events
  •  Monitor and reconcile fundraising income and expenditures to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Assist with monitoring the organization's fundraising activities
  • Prepare all donor acknowledgment letters and ensure prompt response to donations and inquiries
  • Keep a tracking system for regular contact with donors
  • Keep accurate and current donor histories of giving, updating, and providing reports for donor engagement.
