About the Role
We are seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) with 5–10 years of experience supporting commercial building projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical design capabilities, familiarity with construction practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
This role is on-site in Greenville, SC to support project coordination, field observations, and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for commercial building projects (steel, concrete, masonry, wood)
- Prepare construction drawings, design calculations, and technical reports
- Conduct site visits, structural assessments, and field inspections
- Coordinate with architects, civil/MEP engineers, and contractors during design and construction
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change documentation
- Assist with project scheduling, cost estimating, and documentation as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and safety requirements
- Support QA/QC efforts and mentor junior staff (if applicable)
Required Qualifications

Professional Engineering (PE) license, with ability to practice in South Carolina

5–10 years of experience in structural engineering for commercial buildings
- Proficiency in structural analysis and drafting software (e.g., RISA, RAM, ETABS, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and related design standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Greenville, SC
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interfacing with owners, architects, contractors, and permitting departments
- Exposure to industrial, healthcare, or mixed-use projects is a plus
- Project management or client-facing experience preferred
