Senior Accountant – SEC Reporting
Reports To: Director of Financial Reporting / Controller
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior Accountant – SEC Reporting to join our corporate accounting team. This role will play a key part in the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has public accounting experience and/or public company reporting exposure and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist in the filing of SEC documents including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements
- Draft financial statement disclosures and footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather data for external reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitor and implement new accounting standards (e.g., ASC updates) and assist with technical accounting memos
- Support earnings release process and investor materials as needed
- Liaise with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX requirements
- Support ad hoc projects including system enhancements, M&A due diligence, and accounting research
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 3–6 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1–2 years focused on SEC reporting
- Big 4 or national public accounting firm experience preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Proficiency with financial reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, Wdesk, Oracle, or similar ERP)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
