Tractor Trailer Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tractor Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractor-trailer systems in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role demands technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- 14 days on, followed by 7 days off.
Pay Range:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Perform in-depth diagnostics on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other tractor-trailer components.

Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and perform repairs in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.

Software Utilization: Use specialized diagnostic software and tools for troubleshooting, maintenance tracking, and repair documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure timely and effective repair solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.

Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on trends, technologies, and best practices related to tractor trailers and heavy-duty vehicles.

Safety & Organization: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience as a tractor trailer technician or similar role, with strong knowledge of all major engine types and brands.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for efficient troubleshooting and repairs.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations and requirements for vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Licensure: A Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is highly desirable to facilitate vehicle operation and testing.

Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a self-motivated approach to work.
