Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler

Location: Richmond, CA

Pay: $19/hr (Weekly pay + medical benefits + Overtime)

Contract: 4–6 months (Excellent potential for extension or permanent)

Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (OT available)

 

 

**MUST HAVE: Stable work history; and need to have experience working with materials – verifying to make sure they are shipped currently.

Role Overview

 

One of our key requirements is experience in verifying materials that are picked and staged to ensure they get shipped accurately. This is a critical part of the role, and we’re looking for someone with a solid background in this area.

The Material handler’s main role will be supporting the distribution in all material handling functions.  

 

​These functions will include and not limited to: 

  • ​Verifying materials that are picked and staged get shipped. 
  • ​Box making, Labelling, Cold environments processing, Picking (walking), Packing (standing) carrier package sorting, Stacking pallets, wrapping and strapping with safety clean up.
  • Break down packages and inspect products for defects
  • Palletize, wrap and strap pallets as necessary
  • Sort and separate freight as needed​
  • Meeting daily shipping objectives is the goal.

What You Bring:

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Dependability with a strong work ethic, positive attitude with the can do motivation to get tasks completed. 
  • ​1+ yr basic warehouse experience and understanding of warehouse layout
  • Must have experience verifying materials that are picked and staged to make sure they get shipped correct.
  • Experience or comfortable in cold environments processing, Picking (walking), Packing (standing) carrier package sorting
  • ​Basic computer skills with the use of any warehouse management system. 
  • ​Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while moving upright for 6 to 10 hours.
  • Basic computer skills in applicable programs,
  • Use of RF scanning device
  • Self-motivated to get the job done right the first time.
  • Experience and ability to operate pallet jacks or applicable equipment utilized in the workplace.
  • Experience in meeting daily shipping objectives is the goal. 
  • Ability to lift 50 lb. items.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
