Schedule: No Annual Billable Target, Full-time Monday-Friday

Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 base + performance bonuses, 401(k) matching, and full health benefits (will increase salary for the right candidate)


About the Firm:

Our client is a nationally recognized litigation boutique focused on high-stakes legal matters in the financial services industry. Representing broker-dealers, investment advisors, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals, the firm combines big-law expertise with the agility of a streamlined, remote-first environment. The firm operates with an ethos of high professional standards, intellectual rigor, and litigation excellence across federal and state courts and before regulatory bodies.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead or co-lead complex litigation cases involving securities disputes, broker-dealer defense, financial fraud, and commercial business conflicts.
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions in state and federal courts.
  • Manage case strategy from inception through post-trial or settlement.
  • Handle all stages of discovery including depositions, e-discovery strategy, and expert coordination.
  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies such as the SEC and FINRA.
  • Analyze financial data and securities structures to build persuasive legal arguments.
  • Supervise support staff or junior associates on an as-needed basis.


Required Credentials:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited top 100 law school; strong academic background
  • Active bar license in good standing the state for which you practice, preferred elibility to waive into otehrs
  • Minimum of 4 years of complex commercial litigation such as antitrust, class action, securities litigation, shareholder derivative, complex contract matters, trade secrets and non-compete, consumer finance, banking and lender liability, class action, white collar, or broker dealer defense.
  • Experience handling dispositive motions, depositions, and complex discovery
  • No employment gaps; no solo practitioners or contract attorneys
  • No more than 2 jobs in the past 5 years (or 3 jobs if over 5 years of practice)
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-million-dollar or regulatory financial litigation preferred
  • No resume gaps. No contract work, and no to people practicing as solos. No more than 2 jobs if up to 5 years, and no more than 3 jobs if more than 5.  


Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEC or FINRA enforcement defense experience
  • Experience in antitrust, banking liability, trade secrets, or white-collar defense
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and fund formation
  • Prior experience at a boutique litigation firm or top-tier commercial litigation group
  • Judicial clerkship experience (especially appellate level)
  • Demonstrated writing skill with available writing sample upon request


Additional Notes:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, professional maturity, and the ability to independently manage complex financial litigation matters. Candidates with a hybrid background in compliance and litigation are especially encouraged to apply. This is a remote-first opportunity, though court appearances in Florida are required when applicable.
