Electrical Repair Manager

Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a global aerospace manufacturer who is seeking a Electrical Repair Manager to lead operations at our FAA Part 145 repair facility. This position oversees the planning, processing, and tracking of repair orders, ensures timely communication with customers, and coordinates with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to maintain smooth workflows and on-time delivery.

Location: 100% onsite in Los Alamitos, California.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee problem-solving efforts, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Perform and oversee functional testing, acceptance test procedures (ATP), and documentation.
  • Manage warranty claims, repair orders, customer returns, and RMAs.
  • Supervise and support technicians in repair and inspection tasks.
  • Maintain accurate repair station tracking reports and ensure compliance with FAA/EASA requirements.
  • Use precision tools and soldering equipment for hands-on repair support as needed.
  • Update and refine departmental procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Provide support to sales teams and respond to customer inquiries when required.

Supervisory Duties

  • Directly manage Repair Station Technicians.
  • Provide oversight for contract resources.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of related experience, or Associate degree in electronics with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • FAA Repairman Certificate (or ability to obtain within 6–10 months).
  • Strong soldering skills, including surface mount technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA and EASA Repair Station requirements.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, SAP (or similar platforms).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to pass FAA-required drug testing and background check.
  • Valid passport with ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Work performed in an assembly environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing repairs.
  • Must bend, stretch, twist, or stoop to move equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish fine details and variations in color and brightness.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble or solder small components.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and 80 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must adhere to company policies and standard business hours (occasional flexibility required).
