Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a global aerospace manufacturer who is seeking an Repair Technician to perform repairs on cameras, monitors, and other electrical components used on popular aircrafts. This role involves inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of aerospace equipment in compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations.

Location: 100% onsite in Los Alamitos, California.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and perform root cause analysis at both the electronic component and mechanical assembly level.
- Troubleshoot and repair aerospace equipment.
- Clean circuit boards and sub-assemblies.
- Prepare detailed inspection and analysis reports.
- Complete part identification, labeling, and modifications as needed.
- Use precision tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment, and other specialized instruments.
- Follow established repair schedules.
- Perform functional and acceptance test procedures (ATP) and document results.
- Maintain repair records with details of customer, product, issue, and corrective actions.
- Interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
- Support continuous improvement by adhering to established methods and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
- Strong knowledge of FAA and EASA Repair Station requirements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in an electrical field.
- Prior military or commercial avionics repair experience.
- FAA repair certificate.
- IPC-J-STD-001 certification (preferred).
- IPC-A-620 certification (a plus).
- Experience with inventory planning systems.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Work performed in an assembly setting with moderate noise.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while repairing equipment.
- Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, or stooping required.
- Must be able to distinguish fine details and variations in color, brightness, and shade.
- Manual dexterity needed for handling small parts and performing precise tasks such as soldering.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
