Our client, a growing mid-to-large organization is seeking an accounting operations leader to oversee both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable while elevating treasury strategy and process efficiency. This is a high-impact role where leadership, automation, and financial discipline intersect.
You’ll lead a team of eight and take ownership of the company’s end-to-end accounting operations and treasury administration — bringing structure, innovation, and accountability to critical financial workflows.
What You’ll Own
Accounts Receivable Leadership
- Oversee invoicing, collections, credit policies, and customer risk management
- Monitor and evaluate accounts on bad-debt watch lists; recommend mitigation strategies
- Drive initiatives that accelerate collections and improve cash flow
Accounts Payable Oversight
- Lead vendor payment processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Oversee expense reporting and strengthen internal controls
- Optimize payables timing and cash management strategies
Treasury & Banking Relationships
- Serve as primary contact for banking partners and financial institutions
- Support broader cash management initiatives and financial strategy
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, audits, and compliance efforts
Process Improvement & Technology Focus
This role isn’t just about maintaining operations — it’s about improving them.
- Identify automation and efficiency opportunities across AP, AR, and treasury
- Stay current on accounting technology trends, including AI-enabled solutions
- Implement tools and process enhancements that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
- Lead or support cross-functional transformation initiatives
Risk, Controls & Governance
- Strengthen internal controls to mitigate fraud and compliance risk
- Proactively assess operational and financial exposure
- Maintain the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality

What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years leading treasury and/or accounting operations within a mid-to-large company
- Experience managing multiple direct reports
- Strong ERP system expertise; advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Concur Invoice or similar AP imaging platform experience preferred
- Manufacturing industry exposure is a plus
- Demonstrated success leading change and process improvement initiatives
