Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building electrical systems design and a passion for collaborating with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, coordinated designs from conception to completion. This role involves both design and project support, ensuring projects meet client requirements, industry standards, and code compliance. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems. 
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, plumbing engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated and coordinated building systems. 
  • Prepare engineering drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit software. 
  • Conduct load calculations, short circuit studies, and arc flash studies. 
  • Assist in preparing contract documents, permit applications, and project cost estimates. 
  • Provide construction administration support, including site visits, responding to RFIs, and reviewing submittals. 
  • Stay current with industry codes, standards, and new technologies, such as smart building systems and renewable energy integration. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. 
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in MEP design, preferably within a consulting engineering firm. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Experience with Bluebeam is a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, power systems, lighting, and fire alarm systems. 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain one. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
