We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join the Mechanical/HVAC Engineering department at our client's firm in Las Vegas, NV. The Project Manager serves as a key leader responsible for overseeing the successful execution and delivery of projects and providing leadership and guidance to designers. This individual will lead and manage the overall project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project requirements, schedules, and budgets, while fostering effective communication and collaboration. They serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders, overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance. This individual provides leadership, mentorship, and technical support to their team of designers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. They oversee day-to-day activities of designers, guiding them in developing and implementing innovative engineering designs while ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Help your designers prioritize work and allocate resources within team to get projects/tasks done. Ensure they receive all needed training to perform their jobs.
  • Ensure projects stay within budget and track hours of team.
  • Maintain and coordinate overall project schedule. Coordinate with clients and other PMs to establish project schedule.
  • Write ASR's and work with clients to get them approved.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met. Ensure all deliverables are sent out on time and that the deliverable package includes all required documents.
  • Coordinate with Admin for invoicing for all assigned projects.
  • Schedule and conduct internal kick-off meetings.
  • Manage sub-consultants.
  • Keep Access up to date - including all follow-up items, QC's and calendar items.
  • Perform thorough QC for your designers work at each milestone. Check all technical calculations, drawings, and reports for accuracy and clarity.
  • Ensure all cross-discipline coordination has occurred, both internal and external.
  • Know and follow all company processes and standards.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 10+ years experience in the MEP industry
  • PE license in Nevada
  • Experience with management, leadership, budgeting, and financial insight
