We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Civil Transportation Engineer to serve as the Market Lead for our Transportation team in Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of our transportation projects within Ohio. The candidate will also have the opportunity to expand our services to our other regional locations. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily management and operations of the transportation department.
• Lead a team of engineers and designers in the design and plan preparation for a variety of transportation
related projects for both public and private clients.
• Collaborate with other engineers and planners to resolve complex transportation design issues.
• Assist in the mentoring of junior engineers and provide QA/QC for projects in various areas of highway
design and analysis and serve as technical advisor for the team.
• Coordinate business development activities to support overall growth objectives, including project
pursuits, client outreach, marketing, teaming arrangements, proposal development and review, and
interview preparation and delivery.
• Lead strategic planning and build relationships with key client decision-makers.
• Serves as the market leader and represents the company at conferences and industry events.
• Establishes and tracks utilization goals.
• Monitors clients satisfaction both internally and externally
• Oversee department projects to ensure they meet agreed-upon scope, budget and schedule.
Qualifications:
• BS or MS from ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
• Registered as a Professional Engineer.
• 20 + years of transportation design experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong track record of successful project delivery.
• Project management experience is required and PMP certification is highly desired.
• Possess the ability to lead a team and delegate duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing, presentation skills, public
speaking and problem-solving skills
• Drive to be a leader within the company and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong engineering judgement with a commitment to quality and financial excellence.
