As a Site Development Engineering Project Manager, you will lead the design and oversight of infrastructure for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments. Your primary focus will be turning overall site plans into detailed engineering documents that contractors can build from. Throughout construction, you’ll also provide support and guidance to ensure the design is executed correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with clients and project teams to translate site development concepts into detailed engineering plans
- Managing project activities, including technical reports, coordination with multidisciplinary partners, architects, and clients
- Evaluating the site to determine its feasibility and constraints for development
- Designing key infrastructure components such as roadways, utilities, drainage systems, and grading
- Navigating regulatory processes and securing required permits for the project
- Guiding the engineering design process from initial concept through final delivery
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets throughout the project lifecycle
- Providing construction administration support during the build phase
- Working with Operations leadership to identify potential clients and pursue new project opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related ABET-accredited discipline
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in site development engineering and design; experience supporting architects is a plus
- 2+ years of civil engineering project management experience leading teams and overseeing complex design efforts
- EIT certification required
- PE license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure after joining
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or comparable design software for utilities, roadway, and grading projects
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for project-related travel
