THE COMPANY

Our client is an established and highly successful manufacturing company known for delivering innovative and high-performance equipment solutions. While they have deep roots and a proven track record in manufacturing, they are now entering an exciting new phase with the launch of a mower product line under a new brand.

This new division is poised for rapid growth and long-term success, backed by a robust production infrastructure and a strong reputation for quality. As a newly launched business segment, this presents a unique opportunity for a motivated and entrepreneurial-minded sales professional to get in at the ground level and help shape the future of the dealer network across the Southern U.S.

THE JOB

As the Outside Sales / Dealer Development Representative, you will take the lead in building out a dealer network for a new line of mower products. This is a field-based role with the flexibility to work remotely, though preference may be given to those near the Brookston, TX office.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with dealers across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and potentially Tennessee. The role is a mix of new business development, dealer onboarding, and ongoing account management. You’ll be expected to travel regularly to meet with dealers, attend trade shows, and nurture long-term partnerships.

This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a startup environment, is passionate about business development, and can confidently navigate objections and close deals—especially when certain processes or systems may still be developing. There is a strong opportunity for upward mobility as the organization continues to grow its presence in the outdoor equipment market.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of B2B or manufacturer sales experience; dealership or distribution network experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to open new accounts and build dealer networks from the ground up
  • Strong objection-handling and closing skills
  • Experience in wholesale, OEM, or outdoor power equipment industries is a plus
  • Comfortable with frequent regional travel (TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit—excited to join a new division with high upside potential
  • Adaptable, coachable, and comfortable working within a developing business unit
  • Prior success working in automotive, motorcycle, powersports, or similar dealer-based industries is a bonus

THE BENEFITS

  • Base Salary
  • Commission on new dealer sales + onboarding bonuses + guaranteed first-quarter commission
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunity to grow alongside a newly launched business with the backing of an experienced manufacturing leader
