THE ROLE

As the Regional Account Manager for California, you will oversee all business development and client relationship activities within the state. This role combines new client acquisition with the care and expansion of existing accounts. You will work with environmental engineering and consulting firms, building long-term partnerships and serving as their primary resource for rental equipment and expert support. Core responsibilities include conducting 20–30 in-person client visits each month, maintaining a robust sales pipeline in the company’s CRM, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service and strong customer satisfaction. The position requires overnight travel throughout California about 35–40% of the time to effectively meet client needs.


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in environmental services or related fields (e.g., environmental consulting, laboratory services, or equipment sales).
  • Strong understanding of environmental equipment rental requirements or a well-developed network within environmental consulting/engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage a broad geographic territory while balancing new business growth with account management.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and dependable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel overnight within California (about 35–40%).
  • Experience with or membership in industry associations such as PIMA, SDEP, or AIHA is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; an Associate’s degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
