THE COMPANY

This logistics and freight brokerage firm is part of a fast-growing, vertically integrated transportation organization with a strong asset base—operating over 175 tractors and 500 dry van trailers nationwide. Known for its vibrant and collaborative culture, the brokerage division is thriving within a larger parent company that also serves high-profile clients in CPG, beverage, and manufacturing sectors.

The team has grown rapidly from just 3 brokers to 11 in under a year, thanks to a well-respected leadership group, robust internal support systems, and a strong pipeline of overflow business from its asset division. While the company is scaling, it remains deeply committed to a hands-on, high-performance, and low-ego work environment where culture fit and collaboration matter as much as technical capability.

THE JOB

This is an in-office Freight Broker / Senior Account Manager opportunity located in Vancouver, WA. The role is ideal for an experienced transportation sales professional with a proven book of business and a desire to join a team-oriented, asset-backed brokerage.

The new hire will be expected to bring and grow their own book while receiving ongoing support from a dedicated sales manager focused on cultivating new leads and strategic accounts. This individual will work cross-functionally with operations, the asset team, and leadership to scale high-margin freight and provide clients with reliable, relationship-driven service.

The company is open to slightly adjusting the title based on market feedback and candidate preference (e.g., Senior Account Executive or Freight Broker).

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of $30K/month in gross margin book of business, with the ability to scale to $60K within the first 12 months
  • No enforceable non-compete or non-solicit agreements that would restrict business development
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in freight brokerage or 3PL sales
  • Existing customer relationships with the ability to onboard clients in a brokered capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture
  • Must be based near or willing to relocate to Vancouver, WA—in-office presence required
  • Soft skills critical to success: composure under pressure, proactive communication, humility, and emotional intelligence

THE BENEFITS

  • Base salary of ~$68,000 with a commission plan offering significant upside doubling compensation at minimum expectation
  • Full medical, dental, vision benefits and 401(k) with company match
  • Access to ZoomInfo for lead generation
  • Direct pipeline support from a dedicated sales manager focused on warm leads and strategic account building
  • Access to overflow freight from the company’s asset division
  • Clear runway for growth, leadership potential, and influence over process as the team scales
