Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Warehouse Manager opportunity in Johnson City, TN.

  

Position Summary:

Oversee the storage, inventory control, and logistics of building materials, tools, and heavy equipment to ensure project sites stay fully supplied and on schedule.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track stock levels, record incoming and outgoing building materials, perform cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies using warehouse management software (WMS) or ERP systems.
  • Ability to perform both basic and enhanced receipt inspections via PO item confirmation, inspections, and confirming key critical measurements per drawings, as applicable.
  • Collaborate with construction project managers to schedule timely material deliveries, pickups, and equipment mobilizations to and from active job sites via work package and pick ticket management.
  • Implement efficient warehouse layouts to safely store, stack, and label heavy or oversized construction supplies.
  • Oversee company transport vehicles and heavy machinery, scheduling routine inspections, maintenance, and forklift repairs.
  • Enforce and maintain compliance with OSHA and internal company safety regulations.
  • Oversee warehouse staff and manage schedule requirements, including some potential overtime or 2nd shift coverage based upon project requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-10+ years of warehousing, logistics, or inventory management experience, preferably within the construction or industrial sector.
  • Valid driver's license, forklift operation certification
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (frequently up to 50 lbs) and stand or move around the warehouse floor for extended periods.
  • Proficiency with basic office software (MS Excel, Word) and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with contractors and drivers.
  • Ability and willingness to strictly enforce goods receipts/goods issue requirements per company procedures and in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities to handle shifting job-site priorities and prevent project delays.
