Lead Analytics Engineer / Data Modeller (Databricks)

📍 London (Hybrid – 3 days/week)

💰 £80,000 – £85,000 + benefits

We’re hiring for a Lead Analytics Engineer / Data Modeller to join a growing Data & AI team within a global organisation.

This role goes beyond traditional data engineering — you’ll be responsible for building the analytics layer and “source of truth” that drives business decision-making.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and building data models (Fact & Dimension / Star Schema)
• Developing the gold layer within Databricks (Medallion Architecture)
• Creating and maintaining semantic models for reporting & analytics
• Working with DBT for transformation and modelling
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate data into business insights
• Optimising data pipelines and ensuring data quality & consistency

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with Databricks (Lakehouse environment)
• Solid SQL and Python skills
• Hands-on experience with data modelling (Star Schema, Facts & Dimensions)
• Experience building analytics / semantic layers (not just pipelines)
• Understanding of Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture
• Exposure to DBT is highly desirable
• Experience with Azure / Microsoft Fabric is a plus
