Human Resources Generalist II + Detail-Oriented + Omaha 

 

If you’re the HR professional who actually reads the benefits contract cover-to-cover… who understands workers’ comp inside and out… and who employees trust when they have real questions — this could be your next move. Our client is adding a Human Resources Generalist II to its team. This role sits at the heart of the operation, supporting over 100 full-time employees in a fast-paced, public-facing environment. You’ll partner directly with the VP of HR and help guide a growing HR team while owning key functional areas. 

 

What You’ll Own 

  • Benefits Administration (Heavy Focus) – Enrollment, changes, vendor coordination, employee questions, compliance, and contract interpretation 
  • Workers’ Compensation & Leave Management – Claims management, reporting, FMLA tracking 
  • Full-cycle recruiting and onboarding 
  • HRIS administration (Kronos HCM preferred) 
  • Employee relations guidance and policy interpretation 
  • Compliance reporting and employment law adherence 
  • Partnership with Payroll to ensure accurate pay, deductions, and accruals 
  • Oversight of reception scheduling and related administrative functions 
  • Participation in safety, wellness, and engagement initiatives 

 

What They’re Looking For 

Must-Haves 

  • Strong, hands-on benefits administration experience 
  • Experience managing Workers’ Compensation 
  • HR certification (HRCI or SHRM) or willingness to obtain 
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree (HR or related field preferred) 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience supporting a workforce that includes both exempt and non-exempt employees 
  • Kronos HCM experience
