Job Title: Senior Functional Analyst

Location: Belgium (Hybrid – Leuven area)

Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Functional/Technical Analyst with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in software analysis, API integration, and financial systems. The role focuses on analysing and validating software packages for invoicing and accounting, supporting backend integration efforts, and collaborating with developers and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the functional design of information systems, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Perform preliminary analysis, draft functional specifications, and support development from concept through delivery.
• Analyse and validate invoicing/accounting software, especially around payment statuses and tracking.
• Review API documentation and translate into actionable technical requirements for developers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth integration and implementation.
• Provide functional support and testing, ensuring robust, high-quality software delivery.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements and assist with system upgrades.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in functional analysis and software design
• Strong experience with API integrations, preferably in financial or accounting systems
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Able to clearly translate business needs into technical requirements
• Skilled in working with Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Familiar with REST APIs, IT Security, and software development best practices
