Mission


As part of the LAND Engineering team, the System Engineer for LAND systems will serve as the primary technical reference for C2 (Command & Control) and communication system solutions designed for the national defense sector.

The System Engineer acts as the main technical interface for customers and ensures their operational needs are fully considered during solution design and product development. They also ensure technical coherence across all related projects and bids for key customer accounts.


Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer operational concepts and ORBAT (Order of Battle / deployment structures).
  • Define and lead system architecture to meet operational and technical requirements.
  • Drive the technical roadmap for C2 solutions aligned with long-term customer needs (e.g., interoperability).
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for the customer across multiple projects and bids.
  • Provide expertise in C2 systems and stay informed on evolving technologies in tactical communication (radio, networks).
  • Lead the system specification process, translating customer requirements into robust technical documentation.
  • Support subsystem selection and subcontractor engagement as needed.
  • Contribute to all relevant documentation: high-level/low-level design, configuration docs, user manuals, and test plans.



Profile

  • Engineering degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the development or deployment of defense C4ISR systems.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicular mission systems, BMS/C2 systems, and radio communication.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems, IP networking, and cybersecurity (a plus).
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle and IVVQ processes (Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification).
  • Technically curious and eager to explore emerging defense technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in French and/or Dutch, with professional English proficiency.
