Procurement Specialist – Hardware, Software & Cloud
Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT and Telco procurement alongside Project Managers, Lead Buyers, and technical teams, from strategic planning to contract execution.
- Select vendors and manage the tendering process to shortlist optimal offers based on quality, price, availability, and TCO.
- Utilise purchasing productivity tools (e.g., e-RFQ, e-sourcing) effectively.
- Ensure adherence to procurement timelines and governance.
- Lead contract negotiations to maximise performance and cost efficiency.
- Draft contracts aligned with procurement guidelines and standards.
- Manage supplier evaluations and obtain formal negotiation approvals.
- Apply Quality Management Policies as relevant.
- Identify synergies and bundling opportunities across projects.
- Conduct cost analysis and benchmarks for sourcing decisions.
- Oversee full-cycle contract management.
- Share lessons learned and contribute to team knowledge base.
- Coordinate with BCoE for contract implementation and PO management.
- Manage local categories (including subcontracting) for designated clusters.
- Support Lead Buyers with cluster operational visibility and demand oversight.
- Guide and review delegated buyers within the cluster scope.
- Contribute to master planning and ensure on-schedule execution.
- Maintain updated activity logs and project statuses.
- Master procurement systems and at least 1–2 process domains.
- Provide category insight and support in strategic planning.
Your Profile:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; comfortable working with data and numbers.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and procurement systems.
- Capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Experience with tier-1 HW/Telco or Services suppliers.
- Proficiency in SAP, especially e-catalog creation, deployment, and management.
- Familiarity with platforms like Ivalua is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality frameworks is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Purchasing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience.
- Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
