We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to support daily financial operations for a Global Nonprofit organization based in New York City. This is a Full Time (35-40 hrs./wk.), Fully Remote, Temporary assignment


ORGANIZATION: Global Nonprofit

LOCATION: Fully Remote

POSITION TITLE: Senior Accounting Manager

SCHEDULE: 35-40 hours/week; Monday-Friday (9 AM -5 PM EST)

DURATION: Temporary (through the first week of July)

HOURLY RATE: $48-52/hr. DOE


Is This Your Dream Job? The Senior Accounting Manager is central to ensuring the organization's accounts reflect the highest standards of accuracy, supporting the annual audit, managing restricted-fund reporting, and overseeing accounting for the organization's Canada affiliate. 


 Our Ideal Candidate:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of nonprofit accounting experience, preferably with international organizations
  • Experience working with MIP Accounting (formerly Abila MIP) highly preferred
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge highly preferred
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills



How You Will Spend Your Day:


  • Oversee 990's and annual audit
  • Manage restricted fund reporting
  • Process and manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense coding
  • Record and reconcile cash receipts, deposits, and donor revenue
  • Perform bank and fundraising-to-general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end close activities
