BACA RoboJet Dual Table Programmer / Operator


Schedule: Monday–Friday (Shift work may apply)

Pay: Competitive wage $50-$60k/yr (based on experience)


We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled BACA RoboJet Programmer/Operator to run and manage a dual-table waterjet system for stone countertop fabrication. This role is vital in transforming digital templates into precision-cut stone components using advanced CNC and waterjet technology. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in CNC programming, countertop materials, and fabrication workflows.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Program, operate, and monitor the BACA RoboJet Dual Table Waterjet system to cut countertops to specification
  • Interpret digital templates and fabrication drawings (.DXF, .DWG) to create accurate cutting files
  • Optimize material usage and nesting layouts to minimize waste and maximize productivity
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on the BACA RoboJet for consistent, reliable output
  • Inspect cut pieces for dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and tolerance compliance
  • Collaborate with CAD, templating, and fabrication teams to address and resolve design/layout issues
  • Safely load, secure, and unload slabs using overhead cranes or vacuum lifters
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company protocols


Qualifications:


  • 1–3 years of experience operating CNC or waterjet machinery (BACA system experience preferred)
  • Proficient in interpreting CAD files and digital layouts (.DXF, .DWG)
  • Familiarity with stone materials such as granite, quartz, quartzite, and marble
  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming and G-code; experience with Slabsmith or BACA software is a plus
  • Mechanically inclined with attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a shop environment
  • Strong work ethic, team player mindset, and willingness to learn and improve


Working Conditions:


  • Fast-paced fabrication shop environment with exposure to dust, water, and noise
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes
  • Shift work may be required depending on production schedules
