Position Overview

An established insurance agency in Paramus, NJ is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Customer Service Representative. This individual will be responsible for servicing personal and/or commercial lines accounts while delivering exceptional support to clients and maintaining strong carrier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and professional service to clients regarding coverage questions, policy changes, billing inquiries, and claims assistance
• Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and new business applications
• Issue certificates of insurance, evidence of property forms, and other required documentation
• Review policies for accuracy, completeness, and potential coverage gaps
• Support producers with account servicing, remarketing, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate and detailed client records within the agency management system
• Communicate with insurance carriers to address underwriting or service-related matters
• Identify cross-sell opportunities when appropriate

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of P&C insurance customer service experience
• Working knowledge of personal and/or commercial lines coverage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency management systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and client relationship management skills
