Our client, a full-service law firm in Seattle, is looking to hire an Associate Attorney well versed in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters to join their team. This is a full time, permanent role paying an annual base salary of $175K to $200K plus a competitive bonus and excellent benefits package.

Job Description: 


Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney well versed in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights to join their dynamic Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with secured and unsecured creditors’ rights work, receiverships, bankruptcy litigation, and meet the following basic requirements:

  • Draft memorandum, loan documents, court briefs, and other bankruptcy & receivership pleadings.
  • Assemble facts, financial statements, appraisals, valuations, and all relevant codes and statutes for successful outcomes.
  • Work with the team in state and federal receivership cases (whether moving for a receiver for our secured lender clients or representing our receiver clients in liquidating businesses or properties in other cases).
  • Involvement in commercial creditors’ rights litigation including actions on secured creditor and lien enforcements, guarantees and prosecution or defense of lender liability claims and voidable transfer actions.
  • Provide assistance to other attorneys in the firm.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Washington state.
  • At least five years of experience in commercial bankruptcy & creditors’ rights.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to move matters forward strategically and thoughtfully.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Outstanding client service experience.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • In-court experience (hearings/trial work) a plus.
