The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional legal work and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. This individual will assist with a variety of corporate support tasks, including document preparation, signature packet coordination, and closing logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafts, revises, and proofs corporate and transactional legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Prepares signature packets and compiles executed documents for closing.
- Coordinates reproduction and distribution of closing documents and prepares electronic closing books.
- Updates clients on the status of closing documents and maintains regular communication as needed.
- Electronically files emails and documents related to closings and transactions.
- Manages incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely delivery and tracking as needed.
- Maintains attorney calendars and monitors deadlines using the Firm’s docketing and calendar system.
- Opens new clients and matters, maintains legal files, and coordinates file closings and offsite storage.
- Collaborates with administrative teams including document production, reception, and accounting.
- Proofs and processes client billing statements and ensures attorney timesheets are entered and released in a timely manner.
- Processes check requests and expense reports through the Firm’s accounting software.
- Assists with general administrative overflow tasks and supports team members as needed.

- Demonstrates proficiency in drafting and editing legal documents from rough drafts or templates.
- Applies strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Maintains discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Works well independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Uses sound judgment and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Operates proficiently in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and legal software tools.
- Manages multiple deadlines and priorities with flexibility and poise.
Experience and Education Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience supporting corporate or transactional attorneys required; three to five years preferred.
