About the client:
An Ontario‑based cybersecurity consultancy offers specialized services to protect industrial systems (like OT, SCADA, IIoT) for mid‑market clients. Their expertise includes full‑lifecycle security—from governance and vulnerability testing to incident response and recovery—plus training and compliance support for functional‑safety standards. Their customer‑centric, holistic methodology focuses on people, processes, and technology, ensuring they secure critical infrastructure that often lacks in‑house cyber defenses.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in Canada and the USA
- Identify, engage, and manage key enterprise customers across critical infrastructure sectors
- Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and deal closing
- Maintain a robust pipeline and consistently achieve or surpass sales targets
Customer & Industry Engagement
- Build strong relationships with C-level executives, OT engineers, and cybersecurity professionals
- Understand customer challenges and tailor OT cybersecurity solutions to meet their needs
- Recommend enhancements to customer portfolios and pricing strategies
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
Technical & Market Expertise
- Collaborate with pre-sales engineers and technical teams to deliver tailored cybersecurity solutions
- Stay informed on emerging OT security threats, regulations, and market trends
- Educate customers on security best practices, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and professional services teams to improve customer satisfaction
- Provide regular sales forecasts, market insights, and strategic updates to leadership
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in sales or business development in cybersecurity, industrial automation, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of OT security solutions, industrial protocols, and cybersecurity frameworks
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding B2B sales quotas
- Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for industrial clients
- Experience working with End Users, OEMs, and government agencies across Canada and the USA
- Proven leadership in managing large client engagements
- Excellent consultative sales skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Customer-oriented mindset with a structured and analytical approach
- Willingness to travel 30–50% across Canada and the USA
- Preferred: Existing relationships with OT security decision-makers, industrial automation vendors, and critical infrastructure clients
Location: Toronto or Calgary (Remote)
