Overview: The Millwork CNC and Machine Programmer role is essential to thier operations, focusing on high-quality machining in a well-organized and agile millwork environment. You will be responsible for programming and operating Biesse Rover B CNC machines using B_Solid software, machining solid woods and panels. Attention to detail, quality control, and efficient production are crucial for success in this role, along with a collaborative and problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Program and run CNC tool paths using B_Solid software for each job.
- Interpret and follow detailed manufacturing drawings, material specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Maintain organization by labeling parts accurately and performing quality control checks.
- Perform regular tool and basic machine maintenance for optimal performance.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and well-maintained to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Collaborate closely with the production manager to meet production goals and improve efficiency.
- Support engineering with special projects, including R&D, fixture and jig making.
- Occasionally operate a forklift and handle general shop duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machinery operation within the millwork and cabinetry industry (experience with Biesse machines and B_Solid software preferred).
- Strong proficiency in parametric CAD software, including SolidWorks (SWOOD experience is a plus), Fusion 360, and SpaceClaim.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven experience working as part of a millwork team, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, material specifications, and build books accurately.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative, positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Salary: Up to $50/hr+
