About Us

Our client is a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor specializing in renewable energy projects across the United States. From utility-scale solar and wind to emerging technologies such as battery storage and green hydrogen, we deliver turnkey solutions that drive the clean energy transition.

We are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join our Denver-based team. This individual will play a pivotal role in project development and execution planning—bridging the gap between early project conceptualization and construction mobilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Development Support
  • Lead preconstruction efforts from project inception through notice to proceed.
  • Collaborate with business development and project development teams to define project scope, schedule, budget, and risk profile.
  • Estimating & Cost Control
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for EPC renewable energy projects.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier RFQs, bid leveling, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date market knowledge of labor, material, and equipment pricing.
  • Design & Engineering Coordination
  • Partner with engineering teams to review design concepts, identify constructability concerns, and optimize design for cost and schedule efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and permitting conditions.
  • Schedule Development
  • Prepare preliminary construction schedules and phasing plans.
  • Identify long-lead procurement items and critical path activities.
  • Risk Management & Due Diligence
  • Conduct constructability reviews, site assessments, and logistics evaluations.
  • Identify potential project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support proposal development, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Provide technical and commercial input to contracts and project negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within EPC, construction, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Proven track record in utility-scale solar, wind, or energy storage projects strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with estimating software, scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and general project management platforms.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Why Join Us?

  • Contribute directly to the growth of renewable energy infrastructure in the U.S.
  • Collaborative and mission-driven team environment.
  • Competitive salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Based in Denver with opportunities for travel to project sites nationwide
