We are looking for a skilled and organized Nursing Home Accountant to join our healthcare team in Brooklyn. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting the daily accounting operations of a nursing home or long-term care facility.

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare or nursing home accounting and is comfortable handling multiple accounting functions while meeting strict reporting deadlines. You will work closely with management to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial reports and account reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
• Track expenses, budgets, and financial variances
• Ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory accounting standards
• Support audits and provide documentation when required
• Collaborate with management on financial planning and reporting

Qualifications:

• Prior accounting experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
• Strong communication skills
