Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Installer to join our client's team. This individual will play a critical role in installing office furniture, cubicles, stadium seating, and other school-related equipment. Ideal candidates will have a background in finish carpentry with a focus on furniture and cabinetry installation. This position may require occasional travel for large installation projects, offering competitive compensation during peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities for the Lead Installer:
- Install office furniture, cubicles, school furniture, and equipment at various job sites.
- Travel to job sites, primarily within Kern County, with occasional trips to Victorville.
- Install furniture and equipment on prevailing wage projects, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
- Participate in large-scale installations requiring occasional overnight travel.
- Pre-assemble furniture during the off-season and assist with preparations for upcoming projects.
- Safely operate tools and equipment, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring proper handling of all project-related tools and materials.
- Communicate effectively with the project manager, team members, and clients to ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and prevailing wage laws for all installations.
Qualifications for the Lead Installer:
- Minimum of 5 years of general or finish carpentry experience, including installation of doors, windows, and cabinets.
- Experience with cubicle, office furniture, and school equipment installation is preferred.
- Class C driver’s license is preferred.
- Ability to travel and work overnight for project installations (approximately twice a month).
- Strong knowledge of general carpentry tools (company provides project-specific tools, but personal tools such as drills and drill bits are needed).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with team members and clients effectively.
Benefits:
- 40 hours per week, with additional pay for prevailing wage projects.
- Occasional overnight travel projects (per diem and hotel stays covered).
- Occasional travel within Kern County, with some longer-distance trips for large installations.
- 1 week of sick pay.
- 2 weeks of PTO.
- Compensation of $70-80K per year.
