Senior Construction Manager


About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project completion. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and is passionate about delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive experience managing commercial construction projects, and the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.


Responsibilities


  • Lead and oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and overall project execution plans.
  • Coordinate and supervise project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues that could impact cost or schedule.
  • Conduct regular job site visits, project meetings, and progress reviews.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and company safety standards.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers, field staff, and project engineers.


Required


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of commercial construction management experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with healthcare, higher education, municipal, industrial, hospitality, or mixed-use construction projects.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • LEED Accreditation and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
  • Design-build or CMAR project delivery experience.
