Job Summary 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plumbing Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for plumbing projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of plumbing systems and codes, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver competitive and precise bids. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope of work 
• Perform material take-offs and labor calculations for plumbing systems 
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes 
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals 
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on scope and budget 
• Track and analyze project costs and provide feedback for future estimates 
• Stay current with plumbing codes, industry trends, and pricing 
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed 

Qualifications 

• Proven experience as a plumbing estimator or in a similar role 
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation practices 
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Primavera, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar software) 
• Excellent math and analytical skills 
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents 
• High attention to detail and organizational skills 
• [Preferred] Certification in plumbing or construction estimating
