Procurement Lead – Hardware
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the IT Hardware procurement process alongside Project Managers and technical teams, from strategy definition to contract execution.
- Select suitable vendors and handle the entire tendering process, ensuring optimal quality, availability, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Drive procurement productivity using tools and process efficiencies.
- Adhere to procurement process timelines and governance structures.
- Lead negotiations to secure contracts with maximized purchasing performance.
- Draft contracts aligned with internal procurement conditions and guidelines.
- Secure necessary approvals in line with procurement governance.
- Apply Quality Management Policies within area of responsibility.
- Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and identify bundling or synergy opportunities.
- Oversee full contract lifecycle management.
- Manage a team of 1–2 Buyers/Senior Buyers.
- Collaborate with Business Center of Excellence (BCoE) for contract execution and PO management.
- Develop long-term supplier relationships, including performance reviews and cost optimisation.
- Maintain effective communication with multi-national, cross-functional stakeholders.
- Define and maintain global strategy and roadmaps for the hardware category.
- Advise stakeholders on procurement synergies, risks, and opportunities.
- Build detailed 12–24 month execution plans for major renewals/projects.
- Maintain updated daily activity and project status logs.
- Master at least one process domain.
Required Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; high comfort with numbers.
- Solid technical understanding of contracts, systems, and procurement methodologies.
- Strong leadership and change management capabilities.
- Results-oriented with customer focus; able to work under deadline pressure.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management norms is a plus.
- Proficient in SAP, particularly in catalogue deployment and management.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement.
